About the Role
For our Corporate Venture Studio, we are looking for a Technical Product Owner (d/m/w) at our Freiburg location, starting as soon as possible. Our team typically meets in the Freiburg office three times a week, with flexible home office arrangements on other days.
You will operate at the intersection of product, technology, and venture building, with the potential to transition into a technical co-founder role in a spin-off or to help build further ventures technically within the venture studio. In this role, you will bring deep technical understanding to the venture building process and support informed technology decisions.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Venture Architects to translate customer requirements and market feedback into actionable technical product requirements.
- Bridge the gap between business perspective and technical feasibility, ensuring clarity between product idea and execution.
- Guide ventures from rapid prototyping cycles to the development of production-ready software.
- Manage the technical implementation of digital products in collaboration with agency partners and internal developers.
- Make architectural decisions in sparring sessions with developers.
- Utilize AI-first and agentic engineering approaches in product development, aiming for high delivery frequency and rapid releases.
- Oversee deployment, observability, security, and privacy based on AWS as the central infrastructure setup, and support technical decisions regarding hosting and operational readiness.
- Coordinate with internal Haufe Group teams on compliance, IT security approvals, and integration into the existing Haufe Group infrastructure.
Your Profile:
- Several years of experience as a Product Owner, Developer, or in a comparable software-related role.
- Strong technical understanding of software architecture, deployment, cloud infrastructure, and modern development processes.
- Experience in translating customer feedback into features, requirements, and clear product decisions.
- Confidence in collaborating with developers, engineering leads, architects, and external tech partners.
- Experience in managing and structuring digital product development.
- Good understanding of topics such as observability, security, privacy, and data-compliant product development.
- Experience with rapid development cycles, high delivery frequency, and iterative product work.
- Knowledge of AWS-based infrastructures.
- Experience in applying AI-first and agentic engineering approaches in product development.
- Strong communication skills, prioritization abilities, and a pragmatic, entrepreneurial work style.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills (C1).
