Ihre Aufgaben
The HERE SDK team provides a set of programming interfaces that enable developers to build immersive native applications while leveraging our powerful maps and services. With features such as routing, guidance, search, interactive 2D and 3D vector maps, the HERE SDK enables developers to build powerful native location-based applications for platforms like Android, iOS, and Linux. Our product is used by millions of customers in mobile phones and moving vehicles.
To deliver the best product in the market, we are growing our engineering team and searching for an excellent C++ developer.
As a Lead Software Engineer (Navigation), you will:
- Develop core Navigation components used in the HERE SDK and other HERE products, including:
- Routing
- Guidance
- ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)
- Work with modern C++ (C++17) to build reliable, high-performance software.
- Own and drive complex technical challenges end-to-end.
- Contribute to a high-quality developer experience for customers.
- Explore and evaluate solutions, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Work outside your comfort zone when needed and continuously learn new technologies.
This position is based in Berlin and reports to an engineering manager in the HERE SDK team.
Ihr Profil
- Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar technical degree.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum or Kanban).
- Proficiency in algorithms and data structures.
- In-depth knowledge of C++17.
- Extensive experience with the Standard Template Library.
- Good understanding of object-oriented principles.
- Experience with multithreaded development.
- Excellent collaborative and communication skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Would be a plus:
- Experience with location-based services such as Routing, Navigation, or Positioning.
- Experience with Boost C++ libraries.
- Experience with CMake/Gradle or other modern build systems.
- Experience with mobile development on iOS (Swift), Android (Java/Kotlin), or Flutter (Dart).
- Experience with embedded Linux or Android Automotive.
- Experience with performance optimization.
- Experience applying AI-assisted tools to speed up development workflows or reduce operational overhead.
