About The Position
We are seeking an ambitious and strategic leader to join us as Vice President Global Business Development Ceramics within our Division for Additive & Ceramic Technologies (ACT). In this critical role, you will transform strategic direction into tangible business results, drive growth initiatives, and build long-term partnerships that shape the future of our industry.
The successful candidate will drive the execution of the strategy and business plan by translating them into both high-level initiatives and actionable steps, ensuring alignment and coordinated implementation across key functions including Sales, Operations, R&D, Portfolio Management, and Finance. In this role you will also support the Division in developing strong partnerships and enabling both organic and inorganic growth.
This position is located in Germany. Home office might be an option, but you should be able to regularly visit our sites in Goslar and Laufenburg. You should be willing to travel for work in order to meet the global colleagues, but we don't expect that you will need more than 30% of your time away during a year.
You will report to the Division President ACT and as part of the ACT leadership team, you will work closely with the Division President to develop and execute our strategic roadmap, ensuring we capture new business opportunities and deliver sustainable value for customers and manufacturers across key industries. The key to success in this role is effective collaboration across functions and with partners, transforming insights into impactful actions. This will start as an individual contributor role, working closely with our global team.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Translate the division's strategic direction into a clear business development roadmap, including growth initiatives, market priorities, profitability ambitions, and go-to-market approaches for ceramic powders long-term growth agenda. Lead and drive strategic growth initiatives to expand our presence in target markets and applications.
- Identify, build, and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts, OEMs and strategic partners while continuously assessing business potential and strategic fit.
- Drive the inorganic growth agenda by identifying, evaluating, and supporting the assessment of potential and acquisition targets.
- Lead market and applications analyses to understand industry trends, demand drivers, and emerging opportunities across the markets.
- Provide ongoing market intelligence and performance updates.
- Support strategic decision making and execution.
- Contribute to defining and refining strategic priorities to successfully penetrate and expand in target markets and applications.
What You Bring
- A relevant university degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in the Ceramics industry, including hands-on knowledge of Industrial Ceramic processes.
- Strong business acumen and experience engaging with senior decision-makers.
- Excellent communication, networking, and presentation skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
