CGI Artist - Product Accuracy (all genders)
Job Description
Frankfurt / Berlin
We are INNOCEAN Europe. A marketing and communications network that combines pan-European collaboration with local expertise and execution. Inspired by a challenger spirit, we create work that moves brands forward --- across channels, markets, and moments that matter.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for you to join us as a CGI Artist -- Product Accuracy (all genders).
As a mid to senior CGI Artist, you are the guardian of product correctness. You turn technical data into stunning, photoreal visuals --- without ever compromising the truth of the product. From geometry and options to materials, colors, and badges: if it's in the render, it must be real.
What You´ll Do
- Own product accuracy end-to-end across stills and motion --- from CAD intake to final delivery.
- Closely working with the AI Department, driving new approaches.
- Build and maintain "golden master" assets (models, trims, wheels, interiors, materials, option packs) with clean versioning.
- Translate CAD/engineering data into render-ready assets while preserving proportions, surfacing integrity, and real-world detail.
- Create physically plausible shaders and materials with a strong focus on paint accuracy, plastics, metals, glass, textiles, and leather.
- Set up lighting and render scenarios that match brand standards and real-world behavior --- studio, location, plate-match, day/night.
- Work closely with Art Direction, Creative, Retouching/Compositing, AI Prompters and client stakeholders to manage reviews and approvals.
- Develop and apply QA checklists (geometry, badges, part lines, options, legal/claims, color, reflections, camera lenses).
- Troubleshoot fast, document decisions, and keep production moving --- even when the product data changes last minute.
- Contribute to pipeline improvements (templates, automation, libraries, naming conventions) and mentor junior artists.
What You Bring
- 4--8 years of experience in CGI / 3D product visualization (agency, studio, or in-house), ideally automotive or highly regulated products.
- A proven track record of delivering pixel-perfect, product-correct visuals --- not just pretty images.
- Strong understanding of CAD-to-DCC workflows, cleanup, UVs, shading, lighting, rendering, and optimization.
- Confidence with common toolsets (e.g., 3ds Max/Maya/C4D/Blender V-Ray/Arnold/Redshift), plus Substance workflows.
- Solid compositing sensibility (Photoshop/After Effects and/or Nuke) and a clean handover mindset.
- Comfortable working with brand guidelines, confidentiality, and pre-launch products under tight timelines.
- A structured, proactive way of working, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
- Fluent English (German or other European languages are a plus, not a must).
- Portfolio required (please include work that demonstrates product accuracy, plus breakdowns where possible).
Nice to have:
- real-time workflows (Unreal)
- ACES/OCIO color management
- Python/Maxscript automation
- photogrammetry/scan cleanup
- render farm experience
