We are looking for a team player to fill the Power BI Specialist position in a dynamic international project for a customer from the banking industry.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Build and optimize data models (relationships, star schema, performance tuning).
- Develop complex DAX calculations and business metrics.
- Ensure high standards of data quality, performance, and usability of reporting solutions.
- Gather and clarify reporting requirements with business stakeholders.
- Define and document KPI logic and reporting rules.
- Act as a bridge between Business, IT, and Data teams, ensuring alignment of expectations.
- Use SQL to analyze data and validate the quality of implemented solutions.
- Support UAT processes and ensure delivered solutions meet agreed requirements.
- Document solutions using JIRA, Confluence, and ALM.
- Work within a Scrum methodology as part of a high-performance team.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices in BI and visualization.
Your Profile:
- Experience: 3-6 years in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL (for data analysis and validation).
- Understanding of data warehouse and ETL concepts.
- Methodologies: Experience working in SCRUM or other Agile frameworks.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience working directly with business stakeholders.
- Mindset: Proactive and analytical, with the ability to independently explore issues and propose improvements.
- Communication: Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the banking and/or financial services industry.
- Language: Very good command of English (at least B2).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with financial products in the wholesale banking environment (Forex, bonds, equities, etc.).
- Experience with software development projects and the software development lifecycle (HP ALM, etc.).
- Exposure to Big Data / cloud environments.
- Microsoft Power BI certifications (e.g., PL-300).
- Knowledge of Power Apps or Python.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
