Director of Business Development, WooCommerce (Germany)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Business Development, WooCommerce in Germany.

This is a high-impact leadership role focused on shaping and expanding a global partnership ecosystem within the ecommerce space. You will drive strategic alliances that enhance platform capabilities, accelerate revenue growth, and deliver meaningful value to merchants worldwide. Operating in a fully remote and highly collaborative environment, you will work cross-functionally with product, legal, and marketing teams to unlock new opportunities. The role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, requiring both analytical rigor and strong relationship-building skills. You will engage with leading global technology partners across payments, logistics, marketing, and more. Accountabilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive partner program aligned with business goals and market trends
  • Identify, evaluate, and secure high-impact strategic partnerships that drive platform adoption and revenue growth
  • Negotiate complex partnership agreements, including new deals, renewals, and expansions across multiple categories
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key global partners, including large enterprise organizations
  • Monitor partnership performance through data analysis, identifying opportunities, risks, and areas for optimization
  • Design and implement scalable processes, frameworks, and reporting systems to support ecosystem growth

Requirements:

  • 8 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or similar roles within ecommerce, SaaS, or fintech environments
  • Strong understanding of SMB, mid-market, and consumer business models, including familiarity with marketing, analytics, and advertising ecosystems
  • Proven ability to build, scale, and manage partnerships that deliver measurable business impact
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with legal, engineering, and marketing teams
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity, challenge assumptions, and adapt quickly
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and feedback-driven approach
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, or investment activities is a plus
