Senior Software Engineer (m/w/d) in Consulting

About the Role

As a Senior Engineer at L21s, you'll take on responsibility from the start and have the opportunity to grow with our company. In your role, you'll be a hands-on coder, writing high-quality code while simultaneously explaining to clients and colleagues in clear and simple terms what we're working on.

Responsibilities

• We are a technical consulting firm, meaning we solve complex IT problems for our clients by conceptually understanding them and then implementing a solution. We are not an agency, meaning we don't do daily "ticket-pushing" – we work analytically and hand-in-hand with the client.
• Technologically, we often work in the backend with Java/Kotlin stacks or C# with DevOps on Kubernetes. We do frontend work based on React, Vue, or Angular.
• As a Senior Engineer, you will be fully responsible for our clients' success. This means, together with 4-5 other engineers, you will analyze our clients' challenges, design pragmatic solutions, and implement them in code.
• As a senior member of your project team, you will be completely autonomous and the central point of contact for your junior colleagues.
• We are less concerned with specific technologies and more with finding the right solution for the client – however, we do expect a certain level of proficiency in at least one of the mentioned technologies.

Requirements

• You are proficient in at least one of our stacks (Java/Kotlin/C# in the backend, any JS single-page framework in the frontend, Mobile Dev for Android/iOS).
• You are open and motivated to deepen your knowledge and learn other stacks.
• Your heart beats for code, but you see yourself as a consultant: You enjoy clearly explaining the value of your technical work to others.

Team

We are currently a team of 40 people and plan to grow further. Together with 4-5 other engineers, you will analyze client challenges and act as a senior in your project team.

• Tech Interview: A conversation/exchange about your technical experience – we love technology and enjoy talking about it. We want to get to know you as a person and, of course, give you an insight into the world of L21s.
• Case Study Interview: You will be presented with a real problem from our project work, develop a solution, and present it to us.
