A Note on the Role: As we are currently in the pre-seed phase and focus on building our MVP, this is an equity-only role at this stage. We are looking for a true partner who is ready to invest their time and expertise in exchange for a stake in mindfuel's future as we work towards our first funding round.

Rebuilding Cognitive Capacity

mindfuel is not just another health application. Our mission is to enable individuals to rebuild and strengthen their cognitive capacity through precision nutrition to better handle high cognitive demands---preventative and in the moment. While traditional methods like meditation and yoga build resilience, mindfuel starts one step earlier by providing personalised cognitive healthcare. We lay the groundwork for a better response to stress in an increasingly demanding environment.

We operate in the "Food as Medicine" health tech sector, providing a clinically integrated tool that goes beyond general wellness. We are currently in the exciting phase of turning our core concept into a functional MVP and are looking for a Technical Lead to help us build the foundation.

The Role: Build, Iterate, Lead

This role combines strategic thinking and product development: You will be responsible for the full product lifecycle, including development, execution, and project management of our product.

1. "Glass Box" AI & MVP Development

• The "Glass Box" Standard: You are responsible for developing our AI architecture to meet the "Glass Box" requirement. Unlike "Black Box" algorithms, we aim to demonstrate transparency under the EU AI Act.
• MVP Execution: Take full ownership of building and refining our MVP, including all background tasks, and continuous iteration.
• Tech Stack Ownership: Manage the cloud infrastructure and development tools best suited for a scalable, secure health platform.

2. Project Management: MVP to Mobile

• Agency & Developer Management: You will define the technical requirements for our future applications including leading the pitch process, select external agencies or freelancers, and manage them to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Product-Market Fit: You are responsible for validating problem--solution fit and iterating rapidly toward product--market fit.
• User Translation: You will translate market insights, and user and partner feedback into technical features, ensuring the product makes our user's life easier.

3. Compliance, Safety & Strategy

• Clinical & Regulatory Rigor: Ensure the product strictly adheres to German health regulations, MDR, EU AI Act, and GDPR, and the safety standards required for a clinically integrated solution.
• Financial Planning: Actively participate in technical financial planning, forecast development costs, and manage the budget.
• Investor Relations: Collaborate closely with the founders to explain technical safety and the architecture to founding partners and stakeholders.

Technical Profile

• Full Lifecycle Experience: Experience taking a product from concept -> Web MVP -> Scalable mobile app (iOS/Android).
• AI/ML Integration: Practical experience implementing AI agents or LLMs into consumer-facing products.
• AI Interpretability: Understanding of LLMs and the requirements for explainable AI ("Glass Box" models).
• Project and Vendor Management: Experience hiring and managing external development agencies or freelancers.
• Regulatory Knowledge and HealthTech/GDPR: Deep understanding of data privacy, encryption, and German regulatory requirements for health data.
• Fluency in English and German.
