This role develops and manages global, regional, or market-level programs using subject matter expertise to support Mondelēz International's Impact pillars: Sustainability, Mindful Snacking, and Social Impact. You will direct others (internally and externally) on program implementation to grow the business.

As you implement programs, you will oversee cross-functional project teams, agencies, and NGO partners, manage program budgets, and create/maintain reports on program results. You will work locally with business colleagues and external partners to implement plans under each respective pillar.

More About This Position
- This is a fixed-term position for 12 months.
- This is a 100% remote position, suitable for working with a global team.
Reporting to the Procurement Sustainability Lead, the Sustainable Ingredients Specialist is responsible for working in close collaboration with internal sourcing teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and external partners (suppliers, consultants, industry coalitions) to drive and support the corporate agenda for Sustainable Ingredients within the Procurement function. Ensure timely and successful implementation of the strategy and deliver on company goals and compliance. Programs to support include sustainably sourced raw materials, regulatory requirements, no deforestation, animal welfare, among others. Support the Sustainable Ingredients Manager where relevant.
The Sustainable Ingredients Specialist will support the development and execution of existing projects and processes, keep up-to-date the standard operating procedures, policies, playbooks, and overall governance to deliver results ensuring 100% compliance, completeness, accuracy, and transparency. This role entails data gathering & analytics, as well as working closely with the Sustainability Data Analytics Manager and the Reporting and Disclosure Stakeholders. The role supports content creation for internal communications and meetings with sourcing teams, senior leadership, key suppliers, cross-functional stakeholders, and other external partners.
Main Responsibilities
Data Management and Analytics:
- Work with relevant data owners and the Sustainability Data Analytics Manager to coordinate the collection and analysis of data for project planning, budgeting, progress tracking, internal reporting of status vs. target, and external disclosures (e.g., Snacking Made Right report, mandatory and voluntary reporting and rating platforms).
- Provide data-driven insights to enable informed decision-making, proactive risk management, and emerging opportunity identification.
Project Management and Reporting:
- Develop effective tools and internal capabilities to ensure the execution of all critical actions and projects.
- Collect and store all relevant documents (e.g., supplier certifications, legal agreements, source-to-pay documents) as per Global Buying policy.
- Own the process of reporting project KPIs on the quarterly Sustainability scorecard and monthly updates to Sr. Dir. GSM Sustainability.
- Seek continuous improvement in Sustainable Ingredients governance and progress.
- Support the preparation of required presentations and reports.
Sourcing Team Support:
- Act as the technical point of contact for sourcing teams (Procurement) of prioritized raw materials.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance in day-to-day activities, such as including sustainability in sourcing strategy, supplier expectations, and legal agreements where relevant.
- Integrate sustainability into the agenda of governance meetings with raw material strategic suppliers.
Processes and Policies:
- Support the creation, deployment, and maintenance of reports, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials, and documentation required for internal colleagues and key suppliers.
- Ensure understanding and alignment with MDLZ Sustainable Snacking goals and commitments, and compliance with policies, expectations, and best practices.
Who We Are Looking For
- Education: Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business, Sustainability, or similar.
- Previous Experience: Procurement or Supply Chain experience, and experience in Sustainability is desirable, but not mandatory.
- Proven experience managing complex data sets and using insights from data to drive decision-making.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Languages: Fluency/native level of English is mandatory; other languages are a plus.
No relocation support is available.
