Stellenbeschreibung

One foot in the monastery. One foot in the marketplace.

We are Monks in Marketplace --- an applied consciousness lab working at the intersection of ancient wisdom, modern innovation, and the quiet revolution happening in the human inner world. We study it, map it, and build for it.

We are looking for Entrepreneurs in Residence to help us build what we believe is one of the most important ecosystems of our time. One for a richer human inner world.

If you are tired of building for extraction, been there and seen it all, sitting in a liminal space and looking for something meaningful --- and ready to put your skills behind something that genuinely matters, read on.

The Roles

01 --- The Architect

Accelerators · Incubators · Cohort Academies

You have built or run a programme that takes people from idea to execution. You know what it means to hold a cohort --- the energy it takes, the structure it needs, the magic that happens when the right people are in the right room at the right time. You are deeply concerned about mental health, post-AI humanism, and the inner world crisis --- and you believe ethical entrepreneurship can help address it.

02 --- The Gatherer

Events · Experiences · Conscious Gatherings

You carry a sun in your heart. You know the difference between a conference and a family gathering. You understand the logistics behind gatherings of all sizes --- festivals, retreats, summits, immersive experiences --- and you are ready to bring that craft to a space where the content is as intentional as it is entrepreneurial.

03 --- The Builder

Community · Tech · Product

You have built digital products or platforms for communities --- and you understand that the hardest part was never the technology. It was the human questions underneath it. You know how to listen to a community, translate what it needs into something a product can hold, and iterate without losing the soul of what you were building.

Requirements

Across all three roles, we are looking for people who bring:

  • Proven experience in business development, strategic planning, or entrepreneurship in relevant domains
  • The ability to identify opportunities, develop go-to-market strategies, and execute with clarity
  • Strong leadership and project management skills --- you can hold complexity without losing direction
  • Experience working with or building communities, programmes, or platforms from early stage
  • Comfort with market research, product-market fit, and iterative building
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders
  • Familiarity with funding strategies, budgeting, and the financial realities of early-stage ventures
  • A finger on the pulse on the emerging new consciousness economy --- its movements, its models, its key players, and where it is heading

The story we are really looking for

Beyond the skills --- we want people who have their own story with the inner world.

Maybe you found your way to meditation, breathwork, therapy, or plant medicine at a moment when you needed it most. Maybe you have lived through burnout, grief, depression, or a season of deep disorientation. Maybe you have simply spent enough time in the world of extraction to know, in your bones, that there has to be another way.

What this is --- and what it isn't

This is early stage skunk works. We are building something real, but we are not a large organisation with a polished onboarding deck and a clear career ladder. What we offer is meaningful work, a founding role in something that matters, and the chance to build alongside people who deeply feel and care.

This is not a job. It is a founding role. We are a collective gathered around a shared vision --- we build on ideas we believe will work, and we get paid from the work we do, together. If you are looking for a salary and a job description, this is not it. If you are looking for a mission worth giving your best years to --- then write to us with a cool covering note telling us about your story and a formal CV that talks about your skills.
