Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Animation Director based in Düsseldorf, with flexibility for some work from home. The Animation Director will oversee animation projects from concept to completion, guide storyboard development, and manage the animation pipeline. Responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure creative alignment, directing motion capture sessions for character performance, and ensuring the technical and artistic quality of animation work. The role also involves mentoring team members and maintaining production schedules.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Animation Direction and Animation, with a strong understanding of creative vision and storytelling techniques.
  • Experience with Storyboarding processes to effectively communicate visual narratives and design concepts.
  • Skilled in Motion Capture technology and integration into the animation process.
  • Background in Film Production, including managing teams, schedules, and resources.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to guide teams and collaborate across departments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry-standard animation and production tools.
  • A degree in Animation, Film, or a related field is preferred, along with a robust portfolio showcasing expertise in animation direction and design.
