The Role: The "Conceptual Right Hand" to the Release Manager.
We aren't looking for a traditional Release Manager to follow a schedule. We are looking for a Strategic Architect of Stability. As our SRE Release Engineer , you will act as the technical and conceptual partner to the Release Manager.
Your mission is to define the "How" and "Why" of our release lifecycle across multiple interdisciplinary teams. You will be the one who defines the architectural boundaries, sets the governance standards, and ensures that "Speed" never comes at the expense of "Reliability."
What You Will Do
- Architect the Release Concept: Design the high-level governance and architectural boundaries for our software release lifecycle.
- Establish SRE Governance: Implement SRE principles SLOs, Error Budgets, and Toil Reduction---to move our release culture from reactive to proactive.
- Technical Feasibility Partner: Evaluate the value and realism of automation strategies proposed by development teams. You aren't just automating; you are optimizing for value.
- Define the "Way of Working": Create the standard specifications in Confluence and Jira that provide a unified framework for all TVM (Technical Value Management) teams.
- Bridge the Gap: Act as the strategic interface between high-level Product Goals and the technical reality of the CI/CD pipeline.
Who You Are
- Conceptual Thinker: You have a "Systems Engineering" mindset. You see the big picture and can document complex processes into actionable standards.
- Technically Credible: You come from a background in Software Engineering, System Architecture, or Release Train Engineering (RTE). You can hold your own in a deep-dive technical audit with developers.
- Process Veteran: You are experienced with SAFe, ASPICE, or similar quality/agile frameworks and know how to apply them without stifling innovation.
- Data-Driven: You believe in verified data. You know how to build dashboards that reflect the actual health of a release line.
- The "Right Hand": You enjoy being the strategic advisor who translates vision into a robust, documented reality.
