We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients for research experts in core STEM fields to contribute to a project focused on identifying high-impact open scientific questions and building structured knowledge bases to support long-term research progress.

This role involves applying deep domain expertise to define transformative research questions and curate comprehensive, structured learning pathways around those topics.

Scope of Work

Required Qualifications

• Advanced academic or research experience in Chemistry, Applied Physics, Materials Science & Engineering, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate research significance and tractability
• Strong synthesis skills across large bodies of technical literature
• Clear written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or completed doctoral-level research experience
• Experience mentoring students or junior researchers
• Experience designing research roadmaps or structured learning frameworks
• Publications or demonstrated contributions in relevant technical domains

Engagement Details

• Independent contractor engagement
• Fully remote with flexible scheduling
• Project-based work with potential extension based on project needs
• Hourly compensation: $80--$90 depending on experience and scope
• Weekly payment via secure payment platforms
