About the Role

Are you a passionate, solution-oriented Senior Laravel Developer looking to work in a future-oriented and sustainable industry driven by innovation and the latest technology? If so, keep reading!

We are seeking an experienced Senior Laravel Developer with strong framework and AI development knowledge to join our remote, Malaysian-based software development team. You will work under the guidance of the UK Software Development Manager. This fully remote position offers flexible working hours to accommodate collaboration with the UK team.

Your Impact

Core Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Laravel (versions 9-12) and Vue 2.
  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
  • Troubleshoot implementation issues and debug builds.
  • Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Implement and maintain database schemas with a focus on performance optimization.

AI & Automation

  • Contribute to improving agentic prompting in our development process.
  • Build autonomous systems capable of multi-step task execution.
  • Create AI-powered features leveraging LLMs and modern AI frameworks.

Infrastructure & DevOps

  • Improve and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with the UK team on project planning and execution.
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Share knowledge within the team.

Your Profile

  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills for remote work.
  • A problem-solver with keen attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively across different timezones.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and emerging technologies.

What You Bring to the Table

  • A minimum of 5 years of Laravel software development experience.
  • Expert-level proficiency with modern Laravel versions (9+) and a demonstrable portfolio of Laravel projects.
  • Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
  • Demonstrable experience in AI development and agentic prompting.
  • Strong frontend development skills with the Vue.js framework.
  • Advanced MySQL database design and optimization skills.
  • Deep understanding of PHP 8 and object-oriented programming.
  • Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Further Desired Skills:

  • MongoDB: Experience with NoSQL databases.
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, and Looker.
  • Debian/Linux: Server administration and system configuration.
  • GitLab CI/CD: Pipeline development, automation, and deployment strategies.
