Software Test Engineer (m/f/d)

About The Role

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer for electronics, responsible for software integration testing and software verification.

Location: Hamburg, Germany Work type: On-site first 4 weeks. Then remote work or from our office in Kraków Start: ASAP

Project Context

The product is a non-automotive charger device.

The Customer Wants To Evaluate

• Overall testing strategy and process maturity
• Actual requirements coverage
• Correct allocation of test levels
• Quality of detailed requirement reviews
• Traceability (requirements ↔ test cases)
• Gaps in verification methods

Your Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret system and detailed requirements
• Review and validate requirements quality
• Verify traceability between requirements and test cases
• Assess and differentiate testing levels:
  • SW Unit Test
  • SW Integration Test
  • SW Qualification Test
  • System Test
• Perform manual testing when required
• Evaluate verification methods and testing completeness
• Support or contribute to test automation if requested
• Communicate findings clearly and defend technical conclusions

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Understands requirements and can read them critically
• Can technically argue and justify decisions
• Understands different testing levels and their purpose
• Is willing to sit down and perform manual tests
• Is a strong communicator (technical discussions with customer)
• Has experience with testing tools (e.g. VTESTstudio)
• Knowledge of Vector toolchain is a strong plus
• Has experience reviewing coverage and verification strategy
