What You Will Learn With Us

This 7-month further education program is a practice-oriented upskilling for everyone who wants to use data analysis specifically for management reporting and corporate control. You will expand your existing professional profile with the skills to reliably support decision-makers: define key performance indicators (KPIs), systematically evaluate data sources, visualize interrelationships understandably, and provide results as control-relevant reports and dashboards. This will enable you to effectively support data-driven decisions in day-to-day operations and at management level -- and thus significantly increase your chances of a strong re-entry into the job market.

The further education program is divided into three practical modules:

Module 1: SQL & Microsoft Azure: Building the Data Foundation for Management Decisions (11 weeks)

You will learn how data is generated in companies and which structures are crucial for analysis and control (e.g., KPIs, ETL, data quality). With SQL, you will build the competence to check, evaluate, and prepare data cleanly so that it serves as a reliable basis for reports. Data modeling (e.g., star schema) and advanced SQL topics ensure practical applicability. Additionally, you will gain insights into Azure database services and data warehousing -- important for understanding modern data landscapes in companies.

• SQL Fundamentals to Advanced (JOINs, Data Integrity, Timestamps, RegEx, JSON, Stored Procedures)
• Data Modeling (e.g., Star Schema), Administration & Data Quality
• Azure Databases, Cosmos DB, Data Warehousing & Administration
• Final Project (Teamwork & Presentation)

Module 2: Power BI Data Analyst: Control-Relevant Dashboards and Reports for Management (10 weeks)

In this module, you will learn how to prepare analysis results so that they are truly usable for management: clear visuals, reliable key figures, and understandable storylines. You will transform data with Power Query, model it systematically, and develop meaningful measures with DAX (e.g., deviations, trends, time comparisons). Additionally, you will learn dashboard design, performance optimization, and professional operation in the Power BI Service, including role and permission concepts as well as row-level security.

Module 3: JobReady: Applying Project Methods and Demonstrating Results as a Control Contribution (8 weeks)

Finally, you will transfer the new competencies into a realistic project context: You will learn project management (classic & agile, e.g., Scrum), strengthen your application documents, and complete a practical project in a team with partner companies. This will result in presentable outcomes -- such as a dashboard set or an analysis case -- that concretely demonstrate your ability to control a company through data. Additionally, preparation for the IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) examination will take place.

Your Profile

• Language Skills: German B1/B2, basic English skills are an advantage.
• Skills: IT affinity, logical thinking, motivation to take your career to the next level. First experiences in IT are a plus! But not a must. Career changers are very welcome.
