About the role

As Lead Communications & Community and a key member of the German Leadership Team, you will partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to drive business outcomes through consistent, high-impact communications. You will oversee internal communications for our entire workforce, ensuring a unified voice for both our corporate staff and our extensive courier fleet.

In this role, you will:

• Drive high-level strategic projects in close collaboration with senior management to align organizational goals with employee engagement.
• Spearhead the launch of new digital communication tools and innovative formats to modernize how we connect and engage with our people.
• Develop and execute internal communication & community plans that align with Lieferando's values, brand identity, and global strategy.
• Leverage data analytics to derive actionable insights, presenting strategic recommendations to stakeholders to continuously improve communication effectiveness.
• Collaborate closely with Corporate Communications to enhance brand perception and proactively mitigate corporate risks.
• Apply your passion for storytelling and expertise in high-quality writing to create narratives that shape a world-class employee experience.
• Proactively manage risks and use professional judgment to inform crisis response strategies.
• Optimize engagement channels for our Scoober team, taking our courier chat platforms and tools like Marketing Cloud to the next level.
• Lead and mentor a dedicated team member, fostering their professional growth.

What will you bring to the team?

• At least 5+ years of relevant professional experience in communications, ideally within an international, fast-growing environment.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence at the executive level and manage a departmental budget/strategy.
• Experience in communicating diverse topics: corporate culture, change management, labor relations, and employee engagement for a remote and hybrid workforce.
• A data-driven mindset with the ability to translate metrics into strategic communication improvements.
• Expertise in planning and implementing impactful campaigns with a commitment to operational excellence and innovation.
• Advanced writing and editing skills in both German and English, with the ability to express nuanced topics clearly and concisely.
• Located in (or willing to relocate to) Berlin.
