We are supporting a growing AI product company that is building and operating enterprise AI systems in serious production environments.
This is not a research, chatbot or proof-of-concept position. You will develop AI services that must perform reliably for real users, integrate with wider enterprise systems and meet demanding standards around quality, security, explainability and auditability.
What you will build
- Production AI agent services using Python and FastAPI
- Agentic applications using PydanticAI and LangGraph
- Multi-tenant RAG pipelines using PostgreSQL and pgvector
- Hybrid search, vector retrieval, re-ranking and index lifecycle processes
- LLM access and routing capabilities using LiteLLM
- Evaluation and observability frameworks using Langfuse
- Model Context Protocol integrations connecting agents with enterprise tools and services
- Tenant-specific controls covering access, usage quotas and data isolation
- Monitoring for retrieval quality, latency, token usage, cost and failures
- Secure API and service integrations
- CI/CD and deployment workflows for Kubernetes-based environments
Must-have technical experience
Applicants must be able to demonstrate hands-on production experience across the following technology environment:
- Python
- FastAPI
- PydanticAI
- LangGraph
- LiteLLM
- Langfuse
- PostgreSQL and pgvector
- Model Context Protocol
- Kubernetes
- Production RAG pipelines
- Vector search, hybrid retrieval and re-ranking
- LLM and retrieval evaluation
- LLM observability and monitoring
- API and service integration
- CI/CD, automated testing and production deployment
- Multi-tenant architecture and data isolation
- Monitoring latency, token consumption, cost and retrieval quality
- Explainable outputs, audit trails and operational traceability
What we are looking for
- At least five years of professional Python engineering experience
- Clear evidence that you personally built, deployed and operated an AI or LLM system in production
- Experience taking AI applications beyond prototypes and demonstrations
- A strong understanding of system reliability, testing and production monitoring
- Experience investigating failures and improving systems based on operational evidence
- A practical approach to documentation, code review and incident learning
- Residence and work authorisation in Germany
- Willingness to attend occasional team meetings in Munich
Experience within financial services, insurance, pharmaceuticals, healthcare or another regulated environment would be particularly valuable.
