Your Responsibilities:

Your mission: Build the data foundation for real business decisions: from architecture to insights. As a Data Specialist, you are the central interface between data, technology, and business impact. You ensure that data is not only available but also structured, valid, and relevant for decision-making. You work operationally deep in the stack – but always think in terms of impact.

• Dashboard & Reporting Excellence: You conceptualize and develop meaningful Power BI dashboards for various stakeholders. You model data cleanly, work with DAX, and ensure that KPIs are represented logically, consistently, and understandably.
• Data Modeling & Architecture: You develop robust data models and ensure that structures remain scalable, performant, and maintainable. You think about Data Warehousing not just technically, but conceptually.
• ETL Design & Automation: You conceptualize, implement, and optimize ETL pipelines with Python and SQL. Goal: stable, automated data flows instead of manual workarounds.
• Data Quality & Governance: You establish data checks, validation mechanisms, and quality standards. Data integrity is not a nice-to-have for you, but a basic requirement.
• Integration of New Data Sources: You integrate new systems, tools, or APIs into existing architectures in a structured manner, with clean documentation and future-proofing.

What You Bring to the Table:

Must-Haves – the essentials:

• Power BI (DAX & Data Modeling): You master clean modeling, measures, performance optimization, and best practices in reporting.
• SQL: You work confidently with complex queries, joins, aggregations, and performance tuning.
• Python for Data Processing & ETL: You build scripts, transform data, and automate processes in a structured way.
• Cloud/Modern Data Stack Experience: Experience with at least one of the following tools: Databricks, Snowflake, or Azure.
• Data Warehousing Know-How: You understand concepts like Star Schema, Fact/Dimension Modeling, ETL vs. ELT, and scalable architectures.
• Mindset: Ambitious, proactive, and responsible with a high standard of quality. You take ownership of customer success and want to deliver measurable results.
• Languages: Fluent in German & English – you navigate the international arena with confidence.

Please note for the Vienna office: In Vienna (but not in Bregenz), we are bound by the KV Werbung und Marktkommunikation. This includes a minimum salary at the junior level of €2,321.20 gross for this position. However, this does not represent the actual salary offer. Please state your expectations.
