We are at a pivotal point where a product is becoming an increasingly large market, and we are embarking on our international marketing efforts.

Our strong scaling requires a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, both nationally and internationally, for various markets.

From numerous contacts, a large, well-founded network has emerged, including operators, project developers, real estate companies, energy suppliers, insurance companies, measurement service providers, and emergency call services.

Now, it's time to structure and build this next phase.

Responsibilities

As a Founder's Associate Sales & Marketing, you will work closely with Jan-Peter (CEO) in the Veli Atelier at the Science Park Kassel, Veli's headquarters, within our team of around 20 people. In the next 6 months, you will help bring approximately 1,000 households online with us, while simultaneously driving our market growth. This will involve direct communication with potential customers and numerous renowned strategic partners.

Ultimately, your projects will demonstrate that things are coming online, clarity is emerging, and we as a team are improving, both with strategic business partners, service providers, and internally. Prospectively, the role can evolve into Head of Marketing or Sales, or grow into independent responsibility for specific areas such as Key Account Management, Growth Manager, or Go-to-Market nationally & internationally.

  • Customer Growth and Scaling: You will support our strong customer growth and entry into new markets and strategic partnerships, including building and further developing our go-to-market strategy and internal/external processes. This involves clear process and CRM organization with Notion and HubSpot, preparing strategic partner discussions, and taking on independent projects with increasing responsibility.

  • Marketing and Communication: You will plan and design trade fair appearances, our own network and community formats, including support for LinkedIn, newsletters, and campaigns. You will prepare documents using Canva or Adobe tools, focusing on positioning and messaging, and build a strong Veli brand presence from this.

  • Sales Support and Development: You will further develop our clear customer approach and systematically integrate customer feedback into our sales process in close coordination with our Customer Success team. To achieve this, you will conduct discussions with existing and potential customers and systematically follow up on contacts.

  • Company Building and Business Model Development: You will shape strategic and operational business models, as well as processes and structures for a go-to-market approach in various business fields and markets. You will take on selected strategic leverage projects, such as KPI monitoring, new partner models, or rollout concepts.

Qualifications

Ideally, you have 1 to 3 years of professional experience, for example, in a startup environment, consulting, project management, or a sales-related field. Very structured career starters with clear aspirations are also a good fit.

What's important to us:

  • You work in a highly structured manner, prioritize effectively, and have strong execution capabilities.
  • You have a good sense for people and relationships, build trust, and remain committed and solution-oriented even in difficult situations, both internally within the team and externally when dealing with partners and decision-makers.
  • You pay attention to important details, think analytically, have a strong understanding of numbers, and are comfortable with KPIs, budget planning, forecasts, and spreadsheets.
  • You communicate confidently and clearly in German at a minimum C1 level, as you will be working directly with partners and decision-makers.
  • You enjoy building networks and connecting people.
  • You are available to be in Kassel at least two to three days a week and are willing to travel approximately five days a month for trade fairs, conferences, and sales appointments.

Experience with Notion, HubSpot, and/or Canva is a plus.
