What awaits you?

• You will develop and maintain existing applications (fat clients) realized with .Net 4.6, WinForms, and C#.
• You will port an existing client to a web application using .NET 8, Blazor Server, and C#.
• You will maintain, further develop, and integrate GIS components for mapping geodata in the aforementioned applications.
• You will create and maintain documentation and support users with technical inquiries (hotline, remote maintenance).
• You will be responsible for quality assurance and testing of new functions and features.
• You will participate in the conception and adaptation of software according to client requirements.
• You will manage a cloud-based virtual server (Windows Server 2022) and an MS SQL Server with productive databases, including setting up and maintaining access and backup regimes.
• You will manage an MS IIS server for hosting project websites, web resources, and web services for client-server communication and its databases.
• You will ensure the stable operation and scalability of server environments and web applications, monitor server performance, and carry out maintenance and optimization measures.

What you should bring?

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, or comparable degree programs, or a comparable professional qualification.
• You are the first point of contact for our clients and trust in your own abilities.
• You have very good knowledge of software development with C#, .NET, and WinForms.
• You have good knowledge in developing web services and using web technologies, especially Blazor Server.
• You have good knowledge of working with relational databases, especially MS SQL Server and SQLite.
• You have experience in managing cloud-based server environments and MS IIS servers.
• You have experience in independently developing and maintaining software, as well as managing software projects.
• You have empathy for the tasks and needs of our software users.
• You work goal-orientedly and enjoy creative work.
• You have very good communication skills in German (at least C1) and existing language skills in English (at least B1).
• You have experience working with geodata-based applications and managing data in the GIS field, as well as experience with embedded GIS technologies for client development, e.g., ArcGIS Engine, Blue Marble GeoMapper SDK, TatukGIS Developer Kernel, ThinkGeo Desktop Maps, ThinkGeo Web Maps, or similar.
• You have experience in creating and maintaining documentation and user manuals, as well as knowledge in creating public websites and PR materials.
