Company Description
Black Sisters Dining Germany is a community dedicated to empowering and connecting Black POC females aged 20-35 living in Germany, fostering a sense of belonging and representation. With a network of approximately 450 members, the collective organizes dynamic meetups centered around food, such as brunches and dinners, alongside online workshops promoting topics like beauty, finance, personal growth, and more. The group also includes subgroups supporting diverse interests such as book clubs, entrepreneurship, travel, motherhood, and learning German. Founded by Kimberly, who drew from her personal experiences in predominantly 'white spaces,' the collective is committed to celebrating black excellence and creating a supportive and inclusive space for its members.
Role Description
This is a hybrid volunteer role for a Community Manager based in Germany, with some remote work flexibility. The Community Manager will oversee day-to-day engagement within the community, plan and coordinate online and offline events, and manage communications across various platforms. Responsibilities include facilitating workshops or social events and fostering connections among members. A key aspect of the role will be to help grow and maintain a welcoming and inclusive community.
Qualifications
- Event Planning, Coordination, and Organizational skills
- Community Engagement and Relationship-Building skills
- Excellent Communication, Collaboration, and Interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a hybrid work setting
- Familiarity with the experiences and challenges of BlackPOC females in Germany
