Your Background:
Ideally, you bring:
- Experience in system design or cloud architecture with one of the cloud hyperscalers (preferably AWS).
- Good understanding of security, networking, and API design.
- Strategic thinking, ownership mentality, and a passion for scaling.
- Independent work, hands-on mentality, and team spirit.
Nice to have:
- Certifications, e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert.
- Experience with monitoring/alerting tools (Datadog, Prometheus, or New Relic).
- Knowledge in Kubernetes, platform engineering, or SRE principles; enthusiasm for architectural decisions, start-up dynamics, and scaling.
Responsibilities
- You will conceptualize scalable, secure cloud architectures in AWS for our SaaS platform and shape the transition to a microservice architecture.
- You will evaluate new technologies and support their introduction into production.
- You will automate cloud infrastructure and application deployments for other teams using common IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK).
- You bring a hands-on mentality and enjoy implementing your ideas directly. Our Cloud team also develops and operates its own (mostly internal) systems.
- You will work closely with our development teams and management, contributing to architectural decisions and roadmaps for our SaaS platform.
- You will promote cross-team awareness of DevOps and Observability and support other teams in their implementation.
- You will monitor applicable security and compliance requirements (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) and assist in their implementation in the AWS cloud.
