We are supporting a leading international reinsurance organisation headquartered in Munich in the search for an experienced Senior IFRS17 Actuary (P&C) (m/f/d) to join its Central Reserving function. The role is part of a highly experienced global actuarial community and focuses strongly on IFRS17 financial reporting, Non-Life technical provisions, and closing-related valuation processes.
This position offers a rare opportunity to gain deep exposure to the group-wide Non-Life reserving results of a global reinsurance business. You will work closely with international actuarial, finance, and risk stakeholders and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and interpretation of quarterly and annual results. Beyond standard reporting responsibilities, the role also provides strong analytical depth and visibility towards senior management, auditors, and external stakeholders.
Ihre Tätigkeit
- Ownership of IFRS17-related financial reporting, closing, and valuation processes within the Non-Life segment
- Analysis of loss reserves and movement drivers across quarterly and annual reporting cycles
- Collaboration with international reserving, finance, and risk teams to ensure accurate reporting outputs
- Ensuring data quality, consistency, and validation of IFRS17 deliverables
- Preparation of management-level and external stakeholder reporting (Board, auditors, analysts)
- Performing ad-hoc actuarial analyses related to IFRS17 and reserving topics
- Supporting continuous improvement of actuarial methods, tools, and reporting processes
Ihre Qualifikation
- University degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related quantitative field (Master's preferred)
- Strong academic track record (typically top grades / high-performing profile)
- Several years of relevant experience in: Reserving, IFRS17 / financial reporting, Accounting / Risk / Actuarial Audit
- Background from: Reinsurance or primary insurance, Big4 actuarial / audit advisory
- Strong understanding of accounting and actuarial link (P&L / balance sheet perspective)
- Advanced skills in: R, SQL, Excel / Power BI / Power Query
- Highly structured, detail-oriented, and independent working style
- Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders
- Fluent English (team language), German is a plus
